Gravemarking

Saturday, Oct 14, 2006, The Wiregrass Chapter of the ALSSAR is going to have a gravemarking for Patriot Soloman Wright (1754-1838) who served in the South Carolina militia. This event is going to take place on Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at 2PM at the Wright cemetery in Henry County, Alabama. We would like all interested parties to attend, especially Color Guardsmen in uniform. There is the strong possibility of additional support from the War of 1812 folks and maybe a Creek Indian troop complete with outfits and possibly a tribal dance. We have a Committee Chairman for this event, Wiregrass member and Chapter Secretary, Compatriot Mark Steetle (tsalad@hotmail.com). There have been commitments from residents of Texas, Mississippi and Georgia who are planning on attending and participating. We would not want anyone to miss the opportunity to attend this event. Our Chapter webmaster, John Kelsoe will be providing directions to the cemetery on our Chapter website www.wiregrasssar.org very soon.
