Description |
Participating local chapters are responsible for University/College and High School units in their areas. Chapters and MS Instructors should contact each other to coordinate. University/College cadets receive the Silver ROTC Medal. High School JROTC cadets receive the Bronze JROTC Medal. The award is presented to cadets having a high degree of merit with respect to leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence. Medal recipients are selected by the Commanding Officer of the ROTC or JROTC unit. |
Chapter Information |
Chapters are responsible for purchase of Bronze JROTC Medals and accompanying certificate; in coordination with the State Chairman, the State may reimburse half of the cost of the medals. The Chairman/State Society purchases the Silver ROTC Medals and blank certificates and they are distributed annually at the State Convention. Chapters should inform State Chairman of the names/numbers of high schools and colleges being supported, and awards presented. Awards may be presented by Chapter members or by MS Instructor/Commanding Officer. |
