Monroe County Chapter Startup

The Alabama Society, Sons of the American Revolution is in the process of forming a new chapter in Monroe County.  The southwestern counties of Alabama represent one of the oldest areas of the state and many Revolutionary War soldiers and their families settled in the area after the war. 

Membership in the Sons of the American Revolution is based on a documented bloodline back to an individual who fought in the American Revolution or provided support to the colonial cause for freedom.
