Memorial Dedication

"Last Naval Battle of the American Revolution"

Photos of the memorial dedication of the "Last Naval Battle of the American Revolution" ceremony in Cape Canaveral on 10 March 2007. Each of these photos are courtesy of FLSSAR Compatriot Richard Fowler, Editor of the FLSSAR "Patriot" Newsletter, and he has granted permission to use these in publicizing information of the event.

It was an honor for Past State President Price Legg (Galvez Chapter), Stephen Edward "Eddie" Bowling (Youth Member, Cahaba-Coosa Chapter) and myself (Birmingham & Cahaba-Coosa Chapters) to participate as representatives of our ALSSAR.

As can be seen, there was an enormous participation by FLSSAR, GASSAR, NCSSAR, DESSAR, INSSAR, SCSSAR and multiple members of the NASSAR General Staff headed by Secretary-General Bruce E. Wilcox.

Likewise there was significant participation by various Chapters of DAR, CAR, US Coast Guard, Navy League, Knights of Columbus and Ancient Order of Hibernians.

Our ALSSAR participants were highly honored to serve "front-and-center" in the mass color guard as evidenced by the positioning of Glenn Nivens and Price Legg (musketmen) and Eddie Bowling (carrying the Alabama Flag) at the front of the assembly.
