Awards and Medals Committee

The Awards and Medals Committee reviews recommendations for the Silver Good Citizenship Medal.  The Committee considers recommendations for medals of service to the ALSSAR.

Nominations of persons to be considered by this committee for awards may be made to the committee by any member of the ALSSAR; such a nomination should include a statement detailing the qualifications of the nominee for such consideration, and should be sent to the Chairman of the committee.  Refer to the Instructions For Completing The Awards And Medals Nomination Form.  Click on the links provided below.

The Committee has jurisdiction over ALSSAR insignia and the copyrighted ALSSAR logo, new medals, certificates and other awards, including modifications to existing medals, certificates or awards.  The Committee considers proposals for new medals, certificates and other awards, including modifications to existing medals, certificates or awards.

The Committee provides advice and guidance to the Chapters regarding medals and awards proposed to be given by the Chapters and request that all chapters report all medals and awards presented during the past year to the Chairman of the Committee and to the ALSSAR Secretary.
